This is Emily. She was born in February of 2000 and has lived in Nelson for most of her life. She was a competitive soccer player for six years before she switched to CrossFit in the fall of 2017.
Emily earned four medals at the provincial level for soccer two of which were gold alongside a silver and a bronze. She was the captain of her team for one of the gold medals and was one of three juniors on a senior team for the other. Being a very competitive person, soccer was that outlet for her until she switched to CrossFit. Here she competes with herself (and her sister) every day and has hopes of one day competing for real.
Emily is currently studying at Selkirk College in the Rural Pre-Medicine program. Her goal is to continue to pursue her passion for health and fitness in this way and is excited to see where it takes her.
